My name is Amber and Im an exquisite calico cat. My lush fur is dappled with bright amber, black and white patches. I'm not trying to brag, but I am a very beautiful kitty. I'm a year and a half old and I do tend to be on the shy side. I have come around though, and am beginning to trust more people. I let some of the volunteers at CBTR pet me, and I'll play with anyone who takes the time to try and draw me into a game. I especially love chasing shoelaces (off the shoe of course). I get along well with other cats but I am particularly fond of my sister Brave. We have been through a lot together and I hope if I ever find my forever home I can find it with her. I love her so much! Sometimes she bosses me around, but I don't care much, I still love her with all my heart. If you want a cat that will dazzle all your friends with her good looks and mild manners, I'm the one for you. But, I need someone who will be VERY patient with me because it takes me awhile to trust people, and I dont think Ill every like being picked up. I might sit on your lap someday, but no promises. I do sit next to some of the volunteers now, so if you're watching TV I may find a spot on the couch next to you. If you can find it in your heart to take me and my sister, Brave, home and give us lots of love, I think once we get used to you and our new home, we will make the purrfect companions. We just need to learn how to trust you... and then who knows, maybe we'll even become lap cats.
